Paul Smail is an experienced legal professional currently serving as the Vice President for Litigation and General Counsel at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation since May 2014. Previously, Paul held the positions of Director of Litigation and Staff Litigation Attorney within the same organization. Prior roles include Attorney at Rich & Henderson, P.C. for a brief period in early 2014, Regulatory Compliance and Litigation Associate at Persels & Associates, LLC from 2009 to 2014, and Law Clerk and Attorney at Rich & Henderson, P.C. from 2005 to 2009. Paul Smail earned a Doctor of Law (JD) degree with a focus on Environmental Law from the University of Baltimore School of Law and an A.B. in English from Washington College.
