Sam Halaby has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 1987, they started as a Senior Systems Analyst at Citicorp and stayed there until 1992. From 1992 to 1993, they worked as a Product Manager at ACT Financial Systems. Sam then joined AT&T as an IT/Business Consultant from 1996 to 1997. In 1997, they founded Unipro Inc., where they managed various software projects for top financial institutions until 2002. Sam then co-founded Credit Data Integration in 2003, where they headed the startup software company until 2006. From 2007 to 2009, they worked as a Manager at BearingPoint (Acquired by PWC). In 2009, they joined KPMG US as a Director in Financial Services Advisory, a role they held until 2018. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at BNY Mellon, first as a Senior Principal in Data Governance & Quantitative Analytics and later as a Senior Principal leading the Data Science team. Currently, they are employed as a Risk Data & Analytics Lead at Cherry Bekaert since 2022.
Sam Halaby attended Fordham University from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.
