Clayton Ward has extensive work experience in the United States Coast Guard, where they served in various roles from 1996 to 2023. Clayton began their career as an E-2 and progressed through the ranks, eventually reaching the position of Chief Warrant Officer - Naval Engineer. During their time in the Coast Guard, they also held positions as Senior Chief Petty Officer and Chief Petty Officer. Clayton'sduties included engineering change and TCTO analysis. In 2023, Clayton Ward joined Cherokee Federal as a USCG SFLC ESD Engineering Change/TCTO Analyst.

Clayton Ward, GSP has pursued their education in the field of Occupational Safety and Health. Clayton completed their Associate of Science (AS) degree in Occupational Safety and Health from Columbia Southern University, where they studied from 2020 to 2021. Building on this foundation, they then obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Occupational Safety and Health from the same institution, completing their studies in 2022.

Additionally, Clayton has obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. Clayton earned the Graduate Safety Practitioner certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in January 2023. Furthermore, they acquired the Logistics Data Interpretation certification from the Defense Logistics Agency in June 2023.

Although the completion months and years are not provided for their other certifications, Clayton has also obtained qualifications in Emergency Medical Technician from the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems, Industrial Hygiene Specialist from Columbia Southern University, Maintenance Procedure Card Development from the U.S. Coast Guard, National Registered Emergency Medical Technician from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, OSHA 30 from HSI, Occupational Safety and Health Compliance Specialist from Columbia Southern University, and Reliability Centered Maintenance - Classic and Backfit from the U.S. Coast Guard.
