Mélissa Langevin

Associate Medical Director at CHEO

Mélissa Langevin has had a diverse work experience in the medical field. Mélissa started working as a Pediatric Emergency Room Physician at CHEO in August 2013, and later became the Associate Medical Director in September 2021. At CHEO, they also held the role of Medical Lead from November 2021 until June 2023. In 2014, they joined Ornge as a Transport Medicine Physician and became an Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa. In 2015, they worked as a Medical Doctor at the Canadian Red Cross. From 2016 to 2020, Mélissa worked as an Emergency Doctor/Pediatrician at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).

Mélissa Langevin completed their education in the following order:

1. From 2003 to 2007, they earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of Ottawa in the field of Medicine.

2. From 2007 to 2011, they pursued a Pediatrics Residency Program at Memorial University of Newfoundland, leading to an FRCPC degree.

3. In 2012, they attended Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, where they obtained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Hygiene (Gorgas) specializing in Tropical Medicine.

4. Finally, from 2011 to 2013, they studied Pediatric Emergency Medicine at the University of Ottawa, culminating in an FRCPC (PEM) degree.
