Noah Robert

Graduate Student Researcher at CHEO Research Institute

Noah Robert's work experience includes a role as a Graduate Student Researcher at the CHEO Research Institute since September 2022. In this role, their research focuses on the regulation of immune cell-mediated muscle fibrosis under the supervision of Dr. Shawn Beug and Dr. Robert Korneluk. Noah also previously worked as a Research Student at the same institute from September 2021 to August 2022, where they studied the role of HPK1 in NF-κB following SMAC mimetic treatment, under the supervision of Dr. Shawn Beug and Dr. Alp Oran.

Prior to their time at the CHEO Research Institute, Noah served as a Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa from April 2020 to December 2020. In this position, they contributed to research on cannabinoid type 1 and 2 receptor signaling, molecular evolution, and phylogenetic relationship under the guidance of Dr. Cory Harris. Their responsibilities included analyzing literature, extracting key details, and producing an annotated bibliography on the downstream bioactivity mediated by cannabinoid type 1 and 2 receptors when exposed to cannabinoid extracts.

Noah Robert completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Ottawa from 2018 to 2022, earning an Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology. After completing their bachelor's degree, they continued their education at the same university to pursue a Master's degree in Microbiology and Immunology, with no end year specified.

In addition to their academic achievements, Noah Robert obtained several certifications related to biosafety and lab safety. In January 2021, they completed Biosafety Training - RG1 from the Public Health Agency of Canada | Agence de la santé publique du Canada. In March 2020, they received Lab Safety Training and WHMIS - For Laboratory Workers certifications from the University of Ottawa.
