Tom Reu, NJCEM has a diverse work experience spanning several companies in the technology industry. Tom began their career at Telecom Analysis Systems as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed user interface and controlling software for ISDN loop emulators. Tom then worked at Concurrent Computer Corporation as a Principal Member of Technical Staff, specializing in OS/32 and focusing on I/O and multiprocessor issues. After that, they joined Hewlett-Packard as a System Software Engineer, where they worked on the architecture and implementation of the HP XC cluster product, focusing on system management, configuration, provisioning, and discovery. Tom also worked as a Software Developer in Hewlett-Packard's Cloud Services Business Unit. Subsequently, they joined Chelsio Communications as a Field Applications Engineer, providing pre-sales and post-sales support for customers on the east coast of the US. Tom then worked at Exar Corporation as a Sr. Staff Field Application Engineer, specializing in data compression and security. Tom returned to Chelsio Communications, this time as a Sr. Field Application Engineer, continuing to provide pre-sales and post-sales support to customers on the east coast. Most recently, they joined the Township of Ocean as the OEM Director.

Tom Reu, NJCEM completed their education as follows:

- From 1982 to 1989, they studied Computer Science at Monmouth University, earning a Master of Computer Science (MCS) degree.

- Between 1977 and 1981, they attended Villanova University, where they pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Computer Technology (BEE).

- Prior to these higher education experiences, Tom attended OTHS, although the specific start and end years are unknown. It is unclear if they obtained a degree or field of study from this institution.

In addition to their formal education, Tom Reu, NJCEM has obtained the following certifications:

- In May 2022, they acquired the NJ Certified Emergency Manager designation from the NJ Emergency Management Association.
