Sean Simmons has a diverse work experience that spans across multiple industries, showcasing expertise in technology and infrastructure management. Sean currently holds the position of Principal Engineer at Progress Chef since 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Site Reliability Engineer at Signal Advisors from 2021 to 2022 and as a Cloud Consultant at Levvel.io from 2021 to 2021.

Sean's longest tenure was at VMLY&R, where they held the role of Director, Technology from 2012 to 2021. In this position, they were responsible for managing the TechOps department, implementing DevOps practices, overseeing infrastructure and application deployments for web and mobile platforms.

Before that, Sean worked as a Systems Administrator at Fort Hays State University from 2013 to 2014 and at Cyberclick Marketing and National Performance Agency from 2007 to 2012. In these roles, they provided support and maintenance for network infrastructure, handled VMware and EMC Sans systems, and collaborated with development teams.
