Kamlesh Shavdia has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of taxation. Starting from 1984, Shavdia worked as an Audit Senior at Sidney Pearlman & Company until 1988. Following this, they served as an Audit Senior at Littlestone Martin Glenton from 1988 to 1989. Shavdia then joined Lombard in 1989 and held the positions of Assistant Tax Manager until 1999 and Tax Manager from 1999 to 2004. They then moved on to the Royal Bank of Scotland Business, where they served as the Deputy Head of Tax - Asset Finance from 2004 to 2010. After leaving the Royal Bank of Scotland, Shavdia joined NatWest and held the role of Head of Tax - Asset Finance from 2010 to 2020. Subsequently, Shavdia worked as a Tax Consultant at Global Bank and J.P. Morgan from 2021 to 2023. Currently, they serve as the Director, Corporate Tax at Checkout.com since July 2023.
Kamlesh Shavdia pursued their education in the field of Accounting and Finance. In 1978, they attended Allidina Visram High School, and in 1980 they enrolled at Emile Woolf College of Accountancy where they completed their Association of Accounting Technicians degree in 1981. Kamlesh continued their studies at the same college and obtained their Association of Chartered Certified Accountants degree in 1983.
In addition to their degrees, Kamlesh Shavdia also obtained certifications. In September 1996, they obtained the Association of Accounting Technicians certification from AAT. Later, in May 1988, they obtained the Chartered Certified Accountant certification from ACCA.
