Dr Stuart Battersby has a diverse work experience in the field of AI and technology. Dr Stuart started their career in 2011 as the Chief Technology Officer at Chatterbox Labs, a Responsible AI software company. During their tenure, they played a crucial role in the development and implementation of the AI Model Insights (AIMI) platform. This platform is known for its 8 pillars of insight and stakeholder reporting for Legal, Compliance, Governance, and Regulators. In 2022, Dr Battersby joined the APPG AI as a Member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on AI, showcasing their involvement in policymaking and advocacy. Furthermore, in 2023, they became a Member of ART/1 Artificial Intelligence at BSI, further expanding their expertise in the field.
Dr Stuart Battersby has an extensive education history in the field of computer science and cognitive science. Dr Stuart started their academic journey by completing a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science at Swansea University from 2003 to 2006. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Advanced Methods of Computer Science at Queen Mary University of London, completing it in 2007. Continuing their studies, Dr Battersby then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cognitive Science from Queen Mary University of London, completing the program from 2007 to 2011.
