Natalie Sabanadze is a Senior Research Fellow at Chatham House, a position held since September 2023. Prior to this, Sabanadze served as the Cyrus Vance Visiting Professor in International Relations at Mount Holyoke College from August 2021 to September 2023. Sabanadze's extensive experience in international diplomacy includes serving as Ambassador to Belgium and Luxembourg and Head of the Georgian Mission to the EU at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia from May 2013 to August 2021. Additionally, Sabanadze was a Senior Adviser/Section Head and Senior Political Adviser at the OSCE HCNM from March 2005 to May 2013, and worked as the Editor for Russian at BBC Monitoring from 2004 to 2005. Academic credentials include a D.Phil in Politics and International Relations from the University of Oxford, an MSc in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a BA in International Relations and Affairs from Mt. Holyoke College, and an exchange program in Political Science at Swarthmore College.
