Rachael V. Pennell, MSW, LCSW has a diverse work experience in various roles within the social work field. They began their career as an intern at Arts for Life Charlotte in 2012 and later volunteered at Ronald McDonald House Charities and UNC Loreleis. In 2014, they interned at Judson Center and Make-A-Wish Eastern NC. They also served as an Interpersonal Practice Student at the University of Michigan School of Social Work. In 2015, they worked as an MSW Intern at Detroit Medical Center. From 2016 to 2018, they held multiple positions at Youth Villages, including MST Family Counselor, MST Clinical Supervisor, and Clinical Assessor. They then worked as an Outpatient Therapist at Fenway Health from 2019 to 2021. Currently, Rachael is the Lead Behavioral Health Consultant at Charlotte Community Health Clinic, and they will be transitioning to the role of Director of Behavioral Health in October 2022.
Rachael V. Pennell, MSW, LCSW obtained a Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication & Anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2010 to 2014. Rachael is also a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and received this certification from the ASWB - Association of Social Work Boards.
