Kyle Lane is an accomplished musician and general manager currently serving the Charleston Symphony Orchestra since May 2014. With extensive experience as a composer and arranger since June 2001, notable achievements include creating orchestral versions for the Grammy-winning band Ranky Tanky and composing a fanfare for the City of Charleston's Gaillard Center opening. Kyle has performed as a trumpet player with various prestigious ensembles, including the Charleston Jazz Orchestra and Broadway’s Mary Poppins. Prior to involvement in the music scene, Kyle worked as a Mac Genius at the flagship Apple Store on 5th Avenue in New York City. Educationally, Kyle holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Oberlin College and a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance from Mannes College of Music.
