Steve Hutton currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer and ADA Coordinator for Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission, a position held since April 2024, following nearly two decades as the Director of Recreation and ADA Coordinator for the same organization. In addition to these roles, Steve has also contributed to the American Canoe Association as the Vice Chair of Safety, Education and Instruction Council and as an Instructor Trainer Educator since January 2008, focusing on advanced kayaking and canoeing education. Academically, Steve holds a Master of Arts in Recreation Management and Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Arts in Percussion Performance from Dana College.
