Joan Planchart-Becher is a seasoned Speech Language Pathologist currently employed at Chappaqua Central School District since September 2022, previously serving as a Bilingual Speech and Language Pathologist at Greenwich Public Schools from September 2021 to August 2022, and as a Speech Language Pathologist for the NYC Department of Education from September 2016 to September 2021. Joan started a career in the field with a strong background in recruitment, having worked as a Recruitment Coordinator at Kennedy Child Study Center from December 2006 to May 2008, and as a Technology Recruiting Coordinator at Capital IQ, a division of Standard & Poor's, in 2006. Early experiences include positions at AA Grapevine Inc. as both Assistant to the Editor and Customer Service Team Leader. Joan holds an M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology from Lehman College and additional qualifications in bilingual speech-language pathology from Teachers College, Columbia University, along with a B.A. in Business from Fordham University and studies in Translation at New York University.
