Matt Atwater is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in team management and software development. Since October 2020, Matt has served as an Engineering Manager at Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Prior to this, Matt held various managerial positions, including Director of Engineering and Engineering Manager at Mya Systems from April 2018 to July 2020, and Engineering Manager II at Uber from December 2015 to March 2018, where responsibilities included developing tools for production environments and unifying knowledge sources. Matt's earlier experience includes serving as Engineering Manager at Twitter, managing a team of Quality Engineers, and working as a Software Engineer at Bluefin Labs, focusing on social media analytics and API testing. Matt also served as QA Manager at CloudLock, overseeing quality assurance and operations for cloud security solutions, and started the career as a Technical Support Engineer at Gomez, Inc.
