Sandy Betner Chaikin has a long history of work experience in marketing and public relations. Sandy Betner began their career in 1985 as a Marketing Manager at Elizabeth Arden. In 1989, they became the Director of Marketing at The Franklin Mint, where they created strategies that increased retention and repeat purchases by 10%. Sandy Betner then moved on to L'Oreal as the Marketing Director for mens designer fragrances, including Armani and Drakkar Noir, which went from launch to the #2 men's fragrance in department stores under their direction. In 1995, they founded their own company, Sandra Betner Marketing and Public Relations, where they consulted for the tourism industry, including high-end country inns, tourism districts and hospitality associations. Sandy Betner also owned and operated Chickadee Cottage B&B during this time. From 2006 to 2010, they served as the Director of The Connecticut Art Trail, a partnership of 15 world-class museums. In 2011, they co-founded Chaikin Analytics LLC with their husband, stock market expert Marc Chaikin. The centerpiece of the company is the Chaikin Power Gauge, a 20-factor rating that distills and analyzes the 20 most important factors Wall Street pros look at every day into easily understood green/red displays.
Sandy Betner Chaikin attended Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA from 1954 to 1963. Sandy Betner then attended Agnes Irwin School from 1963 to 1967 to pursue college preparatory studies. Sandy Betner then went on to the University of Denver, where they graduated in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology and Psychology. Sandy Betner also attended New York University, though no further information is available.
