Christopher Sawyer is a seasoned wine professional with diverse expertise in sommelier consulting, wine competition direction, and wine education. Currently serving as a Sommelier Consultant at Chai Vault since December 2018, Christopher also directs wine competitions and serves as the festival sommelier for the Sonoma International Film Festival. As an independent wine educator and consultant through Sawyer Sommelier Consulting, Christopher travels globally to track wine trends and judge international competitions. Previous roles include Head Sommelier and Wine Director at the Telluride Wine Festival, and Sommelier and Partner at Gravenstein Grill. With a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California, Davis, Christopher combines academic insight with extensive industry experience.
