Aswin Nukala, MD is a healthcare professional with extensive experience in the field. Aswin is the Principal and Founder of Hollywood Lung Consultants, a role they began in 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Associate Medical Director - ICU at CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center, where they played a key leadership role in improving patient care and implementing new policies. Aswin also worked as an Intensivist at Benchmark Hospitalists & Intensivists and as a Physician at WEST COAST PULMONARY CRITICAL CARE PHYSICIANS, INC. Dr. Nukala completed their Critical Care and Pulmonary Medicine fellowships at Montefiore Health System and Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, respectively. Earlier in their career, they worked as an ICU Hospitalist at Benchmark Hospitalists and Antelope Valley Hospital, and as an Admitting Hospitalist at Kaiser Permanente. Aswin began their medical journey as an Internal Medicine Resident at Sinai Health System. Throughout their various roles, Dr. Nukala has demonstrated leadership, clinical expertise, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.

Aswin Nukala, MD completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biology (BS) and Economics (BA) at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2004 to 2008. Aswin then pursued their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) at the American University of the Caribbean from 2009 to 2013. Following that, they attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science from 2018 to 2020 as a Pulmonary Medicine Fellow. Recently, in 2020 to 2021, Dr. Nukala furthered their education in Critical Care at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained certifications in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Aswin also holds an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
