Israel Velez, Jr., MBA, has extensive experience in finance and human resources, currently serving as CFO and Human Resources lead at Community Foundation for Muskegon County since May 2019. Prior to this role, Israel Velez held the position of Director of Operations at American Mathematical Society from November 2014 to May 2019, overseeing finance, human resources, purchasing, and project management functions. Previously, Israel Velez worked as Director of Finance and Human Resources at Highfields, Inc. from March 2007 to October 2014, and as Controller at Burcham Hills Retirement Center/Brookdale Senior Living from November 1998 to March 2007. Israel Velez holds dual MBAs in Management and Human Resources from Grand Valley State University and Central Michigan University, respectively, along with a BBA in Accounting from Grand Valley State University and an Associate's degree in Accounting from Muskegon Community College.
