Ryan Middle currently serves as a Biomechanical Scientist at CFD Research Corporation since March 2022. Previously, Ryan worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Colorado School of Mines, focusing on comparing metabolic costs for transtibial amputees using different prosthetic systems, and built musculoskeletal models utilizing OpenSim and Visual3D. Additional experience at Colorado School of Mines includes completing computational fluid dynamics analyses using SOLIDWORKS, designing an Arduino-based theft-deterrence package system, and developing a lean manufacturing plant for heat exchanger production. Ryan also completed a project on shaft design to ensure structural integrity. Prior to academic roles, Ryan interned as a Project Engineer at Build Group, Inc. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines.
