Lourdes Mortel, MBA, currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer at CFA Society New York since September 2022. With extensive experience in finance and operations, Lourdes has held independent consulting roles at Marketing EDGE and served in various leadership positions there from October 2016, achieving significant accomplishments such as securing $300K in Paycheck Protection Program funds during the Covid pandemic and creating an Ambassador Program that enhanced student and alumni engagement. Lourdes's prior roles include Director of Finance and Administration, where responsibilities encompassed managing HR and payroll functions, and Director of Accounting at DMA, where Lourdes developed financial reporting processes to support strategic decision-making. Lourdes holds a Master of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Regis University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Hunter College.
