Andreas Schmidt has a diverse work experience. Andreas began their career at OpenText as a Software Engineer in December 2004 and worked there until September 2009. Andreas then joined BTC - Business Technology Consulting AG as a Senior Consultant from October 2009 to December 2010. After that, they worked at Sitecore, first as a Senior Solution Architect and leading the DACH Technical Consulting Team from January 2011 to July 2014, and then as the Director of Technical Consulting EMEA from June 2014 to August 2018. In 2018, they joined CEWE Stiftung & Co. KGaA as the Co-CIO & Enterprise Architect, and in 2019, they started working at Rettungsdienst Ammerland GmbH as a Notfallsanitäter.

Andreas Schmidt completed their education at Fachhochschule Oldenburg/Ostfriesland/Wilhelmshaven from the year 2000 to 2004, earning a Diploma of Computer Science with a focus on Informationstechnologie. Prior to that, they attended Berufsbildende Schulen Varel from 1996 to 1998, where they obtained the degree of Technischer Assistent für Informatik in the field of Technik. Additionally, Andreas obtained a certification as a Sales Engineer/Vertriebsingenieur from Fachhochschule Oldenburg/Ostfriesland/Wilhelmshaven in February 2004.
