Don Down is a seasoned professional in the livestock industry, currently serving as the Livestock Business Unit Manager at CEVA SANTE ANIMALE since January 2020. In addition, Don Down has held the position of Chair of the Board of Directors at Prairie Swine Centre Inc. since January 2020 and previously served as the Swine Business Unit Manager at Ceva Animal Health from January 2017 to February 2020. With over a decade at Elanco in various roles, including National Corporate Pork and EKS Manager and Pork Value Chain Specialist, Don Down has extensive experience in swine production. Don Down's leadership capabilities were further demonstrated as Conference Chair for the Banff Pork Seminar from 2011 to 2013. Earlier in the career, Don Down was the Director of Production at Elite Swine Incorporated and the Director of Swine Production at Maple Leaf Foods. Academically, Don Down holds a Master of Science in Agriculture and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Manitoba.
