Mechanical Design Engineer Ii, Electronics Packaging at CesiumAstro

Christopher Zum Mallen has held a variety of roles in a variety of industries. Christopher began their career in 2013 as a Soccer Referee for the Houston Youth Soccer Association. In 2018, they held the role of Convention for Unconventional Robotic Movement (CURM) Committee Lead for the UT IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, as well as a Teaching Assistant for the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Christopher also held roles as Technical Mentor, Team Captain, and Enclosures Subsystem Lead Engineer for Longhorn Racing Electric. In 2019, they were a Structural and Mechanical Engineering Co-Op for L3Harris Technologies. In 2020, they were a Manufacturing Engineering Intern for General Motors and a Student Technician for Texas Inventionworks. In 2021, they were a Mechanical Engineering Intern for CesiumAstro and, in 2022, they were a Mechanical Design Engineer, Electronics Packaging for CesiumAstro.

Christopher Zum Mallen completed their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 2021. Prior to this, they attended Kempner High School from 2013 to 2017.
