Stan Bentow has extensive work experience in the field of biostatistics and data management. Stan is currently employed at Cerus as the Vice President of Biostatistics & Data Management since March 2021. Prior to their current role, they worked at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc. as the Head of Biostatistics from February 2017 to March 2021. Before that, they served as the Department Head, Research Fellow, Global Biostatistics & Data Management at Abbott Medical Optics from July 2009 to February 2017. Stan also held the position of Department Head, Global Biostatistics & Data Management at Advanced Medical Optics from July 2002 to June 2009. Additionally, they worked as a Contract Biostatistician at Amgen from July 2001 to June 2002 and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science/UCLA Medical School from June 2000 to May 2001. Stan started their career as an Associate Mathematician at The RAND Corporation in July 1988 and remained in that role until June 1995.
Stan Bentow obtained their Master of Science degree in Applied Biometry from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 1986 to 1988. Later, they pursued further education at UCLA, where they completed a Doctorate in Mathematics and Statistics. Stan enrolled at UCLA in 1994 and successfully earned their MA and PhD degrees in this field by 1999.
