Akshata M. is a Manager in Platelet and Plasma Biology at Cerus since June 2023, bringing over a decade of experience in biological sciences. Previously, Akshata held the position of Senior Scientist at Nanōmix from May 2018 to August 2023 and served as a Scientist within the same organization. Akshata's academic foundation includes a Ph.D. in Biological/Biosystems Engineering from the University of California, Davis, where significant research focused on enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose for advanced biofuel production. Other notable roles include Biopharma Partnership Coordinator at UC Davis, where strategic industry relationships were developed, and contributions to research at Novozymes and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
