Gijs Van Weijen has a long history of experience in the technology industry. Gijs began their career in 1978 at Digital Equipment Corporation (USA) as an EMEA Service Director and Enterprise IT Systems Support Service Director. In 1998, they moved to Compaq Computer Corporation as an EMEA Service Director WW Service Offerings Developer. Gijs then joined Microsoft as a Program Director Mission Critical Services EMEA, Program Manager, and Program Manager Mission Critical Services. In 2004, Gijs joined IBM as a Program Director ECM WW Client Success, Offerings and Service Transformation, EMEA Program Director Mobile First “Software Services for Mobile”, EMEA Program Director Smart Cloud Solutions & Smart Mobile Solutions, Program Director BPM/BPSO, and EMEA Program Director SOA Solutions. In 2018, they began working at RENA Electronica as a Manager Engineering & NPI. Gijs is currently employed at CERTUS Automation as a CSO / Service Manager.

Gijs Van Weijen has a long history of education and certifications. Gijs attended Christiaan Huygens School from 1974 to 1978, where they studied Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management. Gijs then attended Digital Equipment Computer University from 1985 to 1987, where they received their Master of Technology - MTech. From 1994 to 1996, they received their Master's degree from the same university. In 2001 and 2002, they attended Business University Utrecht, and again in 2003 and 2004. In 2005, they attended MICROSOFT University in Seattle, USA. From 2007 to 2017, they attended IBM Learning Services in Amsterdam Netherlands. During this time, they also attended Institute of Business Excellence in 2013 and 2016. In 2017, they received their Batchelors from IBM Executive Management Development Blue Talent in Electronic Engineering & High Level Management. Additionally, Gijs Van Weijen has obtained certifications from IBM in 2016 for Cloud Strategy and from ITIL Managers for ITIL Manager.
