Thomas Cronkright's work experience starts with their role as Co-Founder and Executive Chairman at CertifID, which began in 2017. Thomas was involved in a two-year recovery effort after their title company was defrauded, which led to their testimony for the U.S. Department of Justice against a cyberfraud syndicate.
Prior to this, Cronkright served as the CEO of Sun Title from 2005 onwards. Thomas started the company with their business partner and focused on bringing disruptive change to the title industry. Thomas gained valuable insights into people leadership during this time.
Cronkright's career in corporate law began in 2000 at Warner Norcross & Judd LLP, where they worked as an attorney. Thomas handled matters related to mergers, acquisitions, intellectual property, and securities laws. Thomas conducted litigation research, prepared briefs, and participated in trials.
In 2002, Cronkright transitioned to Miller Canfield, where they continued their work as an attorney specializing in various areas including mergers, acquisitions, securities, licensing, and corporate strategy. This experience laid the foundation for their future entrepreneurial endeavors.
Thomas Cronkright began their education at Grand Rapids Community College, where they obtained an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from 1993 to 1995. Thomas then attended Western Michigan University from 1995 to 1997, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Finance, General. Continuing their education, Cronkright attended Wayne State University Law School from 1997 to 2000, obtaining a Doctor of Law (JD) degree. In terms of certifications, Cronkright became a Licensed Title Producer through the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services in July 2004. Thomas also became a member of the State Bar of Michigan in November 2000. Additionally, Cronkright obtained a Private Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in July 1996. Thomas is also a member of various professional associations, including the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors, the Grand Rapids Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
