Chao Gu is a Software Engineer at Cepton since January 2019, bringing a strong background in physics and data analysis. Prior to this role, Chao was a Postdoctoral Associate at Duke University from September 2016 to January 2019, where significant contributions included the data analysis of the JLab PRad Experiment, leading to the first-time analysis of the proton's electric form factors at low Q2 and achieving sub-percentage accuracy in extracting the proton charge radius. Chao's earlier experience as a Research Assistant at the University of Virginia from September 2009 to August 2016 involved playing a key role in the JLab Experiment E08-027, resulting in the inaugural measurement of the proton spin structure function g2 at low Q2. Chao Gu holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Virginia and a BS in Physics from Peking University.
