Joseph Flavian Gomes is an accomplished academic and researcher with significant expertise in economics. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Université Catholique de Louvain since September 2019, Joseph also holds a position as a Research Affiliate at the CEPR - Centre for Economic Policy Research and as an Invited Researcher at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL). Prior experience includes an Assistant Professorship at the Universidad de Navarra and roles as a Senior Research Officer at the University of Essex and a Visiting Researcher at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Joseph completed a Ph.D. in Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and has a strong foundation in economics from both the Delhi School of Economics and St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. Early career experience includes analytical roles at Citigroup and GE Money.
