Rik Meijer has extensive work experience in procurement and purchasing roles. Rik currently works at CentroMotion as the Global Category Sourcing Director. Prior to this, they held the position of Global Category Sourcing Leader at the same company. Before joining CentroMotion, Rik Meijer worked as the Strategic Purchasing Manager at Power-Packer Nederland. Rik also worked as the Strategic Purchase Manager at Roberine. Rik Meijer has held various roles at Vesuvius, including Global Purchasing Category Director & SQD Manager, Purchasing Director Supplier Quality, Purchasing Systems & Capex, and Global Category Purchasing Director. Rik started their career at Foseco as the European lead buyer. Rik Meijer also worked at SMC Foundry Products BV as the Hoofd Inkoop (Head of Purchasing). Before that, they worked at Schuiling Metall Chemie as a Milieudeskundige and TAUW Infra Consult BV as a Milieutechnoloog in the water department.

Rik Meijer received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Technology/Technician from HTS in 1987. From 1990 to 1993, they obtained a Post University degree in Business Science from SWOT Stichting Wetenschappelijk Onderwijs Twente. In 2016, Rik completed the Middle Management Training program at Vlerick Business School through the WINGS Programm. Additionally, they attended Twickel College from 1978 to 1984, earning a VWO qualification during that time.
