Hala Eliya has three main work experiences. From October 2016 to the present, they worked as a Software Tester at Centria Healthcare. Prior to that, from November 2006 to September 2016, they worked as an IT Support/Graphic Designer at Guardian Angel Home Health Care, where they were responsible for tasks such as adding/deleting users in Active Directory and managing SharePoint documents and users. From February 2004 to September 2004, they were an Administrative Assistant/IT Support at Halliburton, where they were involved in tasks such as designing brochures and flyers using Adobe Photoshop, data entry using Excel, and providing administrative support in logistics and human resources departments.

Hala Eliya pursued their education in computer science and computer software engineering. In 1998, they enrolled at Al-Jami'at Al-Mustansiriyah and completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science in 2002. Later, in 2016, they attended Oakland Community College and obtained a Certificate in Computer Software Engineering in 2017.
