Karen Gibson has extensive experience in finance operations and leadership, currently serving as Finance Operations Director at Centrepoint since November 2006, with a history of progressively advanced roles including Director of Finance and Compliance, Director of Finance & Corporate Services, Director of Finance, and Deputy Director of Finance. Prior experience includes working as Group Accountant at St John Ambulance from January 1999 to September 2005 and as a Manager at BDO New Zealand from March 1994 to December 1998. Karen Gibson's education includes a Diploma in Charity Accounting from ICAEW (2013-present), Fellow Chartered Accountant designation from Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (1995-present, 2020-present), and a Bachelor of Management Studies in Accounting and Business/Management from The University of Waikato (1988-1993).
