Ryan Fugate currently serves as the Director of Operations at the Centre for the Governance of AI (GovAI) since April 2024. Prior to this role, Ryan was Chief of Staff at Effective Ventures Foundation USA, Inc. from June 2022 to April 2024, where responsibilities included leading program management. Ryan's earlier experience at Aptitude Software spanned from October 2017 to June 2022, during which Ryan held multiple senior positions, including Chief of Staff, Vice President of Corporate Development, and Global Head of Product. In these roles, Ryan successfully drove strategic initiatives, managed acquisitions, and led product management efforts that generated substantial revenue. Previous roles at Cartesian involved consulting and business analysis, during which Ryan led complex projects and tailored analytical tools for diverse clients. Ryan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Cognitive Neuroscience from Brown University, earned in 2015.
