Julia Susser is a dedicated researcher and software engineer with a strong background in technology and economics. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at the Centre for the Governance of AI, Julia conducts technical research on the effects of large language models on the workforce. Prior experience includes a role as a Wharton Research Assistant at OpenAI, where Julia published a paper on the labor market impact potential of LLMs and analyzed GitHub data to assess growth in developer interest. Julia has also completed internships in real estate at Sculptor Capital Management and Artemis Real Estate Partners, and held a programming position focused on app development for the Good Samaritan Family Resource Center. Academic pursuits include ongoing master's studies in Computer Science at Penn Engineering and dual bachelor's degrees in Economics and Computer Science from the Wharton School and Penn Engineering, respectively.
