Cathy Wang is an experienced professional in settlement services and language instruction, currently serving as a Settlement Information Specialist at the Centre for Skills Development since May 2022. In this role, Cathy conducts needs assessments, provides culturally sensitive support, and assists clients with their settlement needs while also developing and facilitating presentations. Previous experiences include working as an Employment Specialist, aiding job seekers in Halton Region, and as an English Second Language Instructor/Counsellor at A Plus Student Services, where guidance was provided to international students regarding college applications. Educational qualifications include an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Career Development Professionals from Conestoga College, an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from Humber College, and a Master's degree in Education from Capital Normal University. Cathy's diverse skill set is complemented by extensive experience in curriculum development and counseling across various educational settings.
