Ilaria Espa is a Senior Assistant Professor in International Economic Law at USI Università della Svizzera italiana since December 2017, also serving as an Assistant Professor and a Lead Counsel for the Natural Resources Programme at the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law since January 2021. As an Adjunct Professor at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Ilaria teaches International Trade Law and has held a senior research role at the World Trade Institute, where responsibilities include coordinating the Doctoral Programme and participating in research on energy, trade, and climate change. Previous academic roles include Adjunct Professor at Università degli Studi di Milano, focusing on Environmental Law and Food Law, alongside a distinguished educational background culminating in a Ph.D. in International Law and Economics from Università Bocconi.
