Brian Lo has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Brian is currently working at CAMH as a Senior IM/IT Business Analyst and as an Implementation Lead in the Hospital Medicine & Office of the Chief Medical Officer. Brian has previously worked as a CIHR Health Systems Impact Fellow in the Information Management Group. Prior to their current roles, Brian was a Research Analyst/Trainee in Information Management at CAMH, where they contributed to numerous digital health projects and co-authored publications and presentations. Brian also worked as a Research Trainee in Patient and Family Education, leading the development and implementation of an analytics strategy for a digital health platform. Brian has also gained experience at The Hospital for Sick Children as a Quality Improvement Lead and at Southlake Regional Health Centre in various roles, including Clinical Trials Assistant and Laboratory Assistant. In the future, Brian will be a visiting scholar at Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust in the field of Management and Digital Health.
Brian Lo is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Health Informatics at the University of Toronto, a program that they started in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2024. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Health Informatics (MHI) degree from the same university between 2017 and 2018. Brian also holds a Bachelor of Health Science (BHSc) degree in Biomedical Discovery & Commercialization from McMaster University, which they completed from 2015 to 2017. In addition to their formal education, Brian has obtained several certifications, including Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training from LivingWorks in 2019, and various qualifications related to animal care, good clinical practices, and ethics.
