Dejan Kovacevic is a Senior Financial Sector Expert at the International Monetary Fund since March 2023, with extensive experience at the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina from June 2002 to March 2023. During tenure at the Central Bank, roles included Head of Monitoring and Analysis Department, where responsibilities involved analytical work on foreign reserves management; member of the Investment Committee focusing on tactical decisions and portfolio management; and acting head of the Treasury Department, coordinating transactions and reporting. Additional positions encompassed department coordinator roles and economic analyst tasks, as well as membership in the Faculty of Economics Council at the University of East Sarajevo. Dejan's educational background includes a PhD in Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics from the University of Belgrade, an MSc in Banking and Financial Management, and a BSc in General Economics, supplemented by research experience at the Geneva Graduate Institute. Prior experience also includes logistical support for elections with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe.
