David Sanchez Soria is currently serving as a consultant in Geography and Demography at the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in the Latin America and Caribbean Region since August 2023. Concurrently, David has been a part-time university professor at Universidad Central del Ecuador since April 2019 and previously held the position of President at Fundación Mundo Juvenil until September 2023. David's extensive experience includes a significant role as the Director of Statistical Cartography and Field Operations at INEC Ecuador from June 2019 to May 2023, where responsibilities encompassed updating cartographic data and managing national field operations for household, economic, and cartographic assessments. Other professional roles include ownership of ADAMA Assessment Cia. Ltda., and a tenure as a staff research associate at the Instituto de la Ciudad de Quito. David possesses advanced academic qualifications, including a PhD(c) and Master's degree in Demography from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, along with diverse training in epidemiology and environmental conservation.
