Dr. Jennifer Morse is a Board Certified Obesity Medicine Physician and the Medical Director at the Central Michigan District Health Department. Jennifer has over 15 years of experience working with patients to help them manage their weight and improve their overall health.
Prior to their current position, Dr. Morse was the Medical Program Director and an Obesity Medicine Physician at the MidMichigan Health Medical Weight Management Program. In this role, they led the development and implementation of a new, evidence-based medical program which included developing new protocols for billing, electronic record keeping, patient care, and administrative policies. Jennifer also served as a treating physician, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, and delivered presentations on community education, television, and radio. In addition, they were a member of the Employee Health and Wellness Committee.
Dr. Morse’s experience and dedication to their patients make their an excellent medical director and a valuable asset to the Central Michigan District Health Department.
Jennifer Morse started their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Honors College from Michigan State University. Jennifer then went on to obtain their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Wayne State University in the field of medicine. After completing their residency program in Family Medicine at MidMichigan Medical Center - Midland Family Medicine Residency Program, they obtained their Master of Public Health (MPH) from Michigan State University. Jennifer is also certified by the American Heart Association in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and by the NATIONAL DISASTER LIFE SUPPORT FOUNDATION, INC. in both Advanced Disaster Live Support and Basic Disaster Live Support.
