Janelle Haire has a diverse work experience in the education field. Janelle currently serves as the Director of Data and Policy at Central Falls School District, a position they have held since August 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Brown University as a Researcher for the Community Decides Project and Voces Con Poder. In this position, they designed the process and informed programming decisions by collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data. Janelle also created surveys, conducted interviews, and participated in meetings with stakeholders.

Janelle also worked as a Summer Research Intern at Central Falls Public School District in 2020, where they created and analyzed surveys about the Distance Learning Experience. The results were used to inform the district's reopening plan. Earlier in their career, Janelle was a Middle School Science Teacher at the City of Pawtucket, RI, emphasizing student-centered learning, emotional well-being, and critical thinking. Janelle created and taught engaging lessons, attended meetings, and participated in school-wide events.

Janelle Haire completed their education in a chronological order. From 2012 to 2016, they attended the University of Rhode Island, where they received a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Secondary Education and Teaching, as well as a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. In January 2016, they obtained a certification as a Certified Teacher from the Rhode Island Department of Education. In 2020, Janelle enrolled at Brown University and completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Urban Education Policy in 2021.
