Guðmundur Harðarson has over two decades of experience in software development, systems design, and project management. Since September 2002, Guðmundur has worked at Seðlabanki Íslands, focusing on core systems for currency fixing, account payments, financial data, and SEPA payments, while also handling data acquisition and analysis related to sensitive financial information post-2008 economic crash. Prior to this role, Guðmundur served as a project manager at Hugmyndaráðuneytið for the Framtíðarsýn þjóðar project in early 2009 and gained development experience at Maskína and Skýrr in 2000. Guðmundur holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Háskóli Íslands, completed in 2002, and attended Menntaskólinn að Laugarvatni from 1993 to 1997.
