José-Manuel Gonçalvès is an accomplished arts director and cultural leader with extensive experience in managing artistic projects across various notable institutions. Since 2017, José-Manuel Gonçalvès has served as Président of Ecole Nationale des Arts du Cirque and has been the Directeur du projet artistique et culturel du Grand Paris Express at Société du Grand Paris since 2015. José-Manuel Gonçalvès also holds the position of Directeur at CENTQUATRE since 2010. Previous roles include Directeur artistique for contemporary art initiatives at Mairie de Bordeaux and Mairie de Paris, as well as serving as Directeur at La Ferme du Buisson between 2000 and 2010.
