Ed McShane is an experienced professional in the field of medical device development, currently serving as Group Manager for Motion Product Development at Centinel Spine since October 2017, focusing on cervical and lumbar total disc arthroplasty implant systems. Prior to this, Ed held various engineering leadership roles, including Vice President of Engineering at the Institute for Musculoskeletal Science & Education, where expertise in new device development and intellectual property was utilized. Ed's background also includes managing design quality remediation efforts at DePuy Synthes and leading product development teams at DePuy Synthes Spine and Synthes Spine, with significant contributions to spinal implant projects. Ed's technical foundation stems from a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University, complemented by additional certifications in quality system regulations.
