Michael Fairbairn, CFA, CPA, P.Eng, currently serves as Vice President Corporate Development at Centerra Gold Inc. since July 2023. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Director, Equity Research - Metals & Mining at Canaccord Genuity Group Inc. from November 2021 to June 2023. Between March 2020 and October 2021, Michael was the Manager of Project Value Assurance at Kinross Gold Corporation, supporting significant feasibility studies and economic analyses. Earlier experience includes positions at Canaccord Genuity, PwC, and various roles in the mining sector, where Michael developed financial models, conducted audits, and provided insightful research. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Metals and Energy Finance from Imperial College London and dual Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Civil Engineering from Western University.
