Maria Pelosi, LMHC, is an experienced therapist currently working at Centered Mind Therapy since April 2021 and as a Behavior Intervention Specialist at AHRC Nassau since November 2019. With a strong background in mental health and behavior support, Maria has developed and implemented behavior support plans, conducted diagnostic evaluations, and provided crisis intervention. Prior roles include Behavior Intervention Specialist at ACDS, Inc. and Family Residences and Essential Enterprises, where Maria delivered behavior support services for residents with developmental disabilities. Experience also includes work as Health Science Specialist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, where Maria focused on psychological interventions for diabetes management, and a mental health intern at NYU Langone Medical Center. Maria holds a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Fordham University and a Graduate Certificate in Neuropsychology from Ball State University.
