Lauren Savery is an experienced therapist and social worker currently employed at Centered Mind Therapy since September 2022, where evidence-based approaches are utilized to provide psychotherapy to clients via a remote platform. Simultaneously, Lauren has been serving as an LVAD/Heart Transplant Social Worker at The Mount Sinai Hospital since August 2017, previously holding roles as an inpatient and outpatient cardiac social worker. Prior internship experience includes providing psychosocial assessments and supportive counseling at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and engaging in evidence-based interventions for clients with chronic mental illness at ICL. Additional experience spans teaching and research roles, including assisting in studies on dating violence and conducting personality disorder research at The Mount Sinai Hospital. Education includes a Master's in Social Work from New York University and a Bachelor's in Psychology from Fairfield University.
