Samantha Waxman is an experienced policy researcher and analyst currently serving as the Deputy Director of State Policy Research at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities since September 2016. Samantha has extensive expertise in researching state policies, including the Earned Income Tax Credit and higher education funding. Prior to this role, Samantha was a Policy Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives, focusing on financial services, agriculture, and small business. With a background at Arabella Advisors managing complex projects and a strong foundation in social justice from AVODAH, Samantha has demonstrated a commitment to advocacy and operational support. Samantha holds a Master of Science in Social Policy from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Classics from Bowdoin College.
