Andy Hanks is a seasoned cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Senior Director of Cybersecurity Advisory Services at the Center for Internet Security, a position held since August 2023, focused on supporting the cyber-underserved. Prior to this role, Hanks acted as the Chief Information Security Officer for the State of Montana from January 2018 to August 2023, where efforts concentrated on protecting citizens' data. Earlier experiences include over 19 years at IBM, where responsibilities included managing global security programs for multinational companies in the Financial Services Sector, briefing executive teams, and overseeing the delivery of security services. Andy's educational background includes a Master of Science in Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, both from Drexel University, as well as an Associate of Applied Science in Computer Science from Delaware Technical Community College.
